A roller frame can be either detachable or integrated into the boot as a single unit. In the case of detachable frames, you can use rollerblades for various purposes and customize them for different riding styles.

For instance, you can use a running or speed skating roller frame to achieve maximum speed or a short slalom frame for performing tricks. Short but fast frames like 3x100, 3x110, 3x125 have become popular lately. They allow for high-speed movement without sacrificing maneuverability.

All roller frames can be divided into 2 categories:

Standard frames (where the heel is higher than the toe).

UFS (where the heel and toe are at the same level).

Another crucial parameter for selecting a frame is the "mounting distance." This is the distance between the bolts attaching the frame to the boot. Therefore, when buying or replacing roller frames, it's essential to determine which standard and mounting distance are suitable for your specific model.
